Terms and Conditions

Daily dog walking consists of either a 30 minute or 60 minute visit. Most days a 30 minute or 60 minute walk will take place. In the case of extreme weather conditions, e.g. blinding rain or snow, or pet injury/ illness, or on client request, the dog will be given time outside to relieve him/herself and then the rest of the visit will be spent inside with client-approved activities.

House-sitting is charged per night. Early departure and/late return will incur an extra night’s charge.

1. The client agrees to provide keys or arrange for keys to be available for A-Grade Doggie Walks for the dog walking or pet sitting appointment.

2. The client authorises A-Grade Doggie Walks to obtain any emergency veterinary care that may be necessary during the time spent with their pet or pets. Every effort will be made to contact the owner prior to obtaining emergency care. The client accepts responsibility for any charges related to this emergency care. The client also authorises A-Grade Doggie Walks to utilise an alternative veterinarian if the client’s regular veterinarian is unavailable.

3. The client agrees to reimburse A-Grade Doggie Walks for any additional fees for providing emergency care, as well as any expenses incurred for unexpected visits, transportation, housing, food, or supplies.

4. The client will be responsible for any medical expenses and damages resulting from an injury to the pet sitter or other persons by the pet. The client agrees to indemnify and hold unaccountable, A-Grade Doggie Walks in the event of a claim by any person injured by the pet.

5. The client agrees to notify A-Grade Doggie Walks of any concerns or complaints within 24 hours of any appointments.

6. For the cancellation of single dog walk appointments, notice must be given of a minimum of 24 hours. Failure to do so will incur a full charge being made.

7. For the cancellation of regular weekly dog-walking appointments, notice must be given of a minimum of 7 days. Failure to do so will incur a full charge being made.

8.  For the cancellation of house-sitting assignments, notice must be given of a minimum of 14 days.  Failure to do so will incur a 50% charge being made.

9. The client must ensure that their pets’ vaccinations, flea and worm treatment are kept up to date and show written evidence of this before the pet is cared for.  Subsequently, annual vaccination certificates must be shown.

10. The client gives permission for A-Grade Doggie Walks to use photographs of their pet/pets on social media. Please tick the box if you are not happy for photographs of your pet/pets

to be used on social media.                           
11. A-Grade Doggie Walks agrees to provide the services stated in this agreement in a reliable, caring and trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services and as an express condition thereof, the client expressly waives and relinquishes any and all claims against A-Grade Doggie Walks and its employees.

12. A-Grade Doggie Walks accepts no responsibility for security of the premises or any loss if other individuals have access to the home during the term of this agreement. During all assignments, pet care will only be undertaken by A-Grade Doggie Walks’ owner or employees.

13. A-Grade Doggie Walks will not let any dog off his/her lead unless express owner consent has been given. Please tick in the box if you are happy for your dog to be walked off the lead.  

14. A-Grade Doggie Walks is not responsible for any damage incurred by pets escaping because of a faulty lead or collar or a collar that is not properly fitting.

15. A-Grade Doggie Walks will not be liable for the injury, disappearance, death, or fines arising from any pet escaping from a property due to unsuitable or faulty fencing or housing.

16. It is expressly understood that A-Graded Doggie Walks shall not be held responsible for any damage to the clients’ property, or that of others, caused by clients’ pets during the period in which they are in its care.

17. This agreement is valid for all future visits until a new agreement is signed. A-Grade Doggie Walks reserves the right to terminate this agreement with 24 hours’ notice, at its sole discretion.

18. A-Grade Doggie Walks agrees to love and care for your pet whilst you are absent.
